About This Wine:
Why are we so excited about our Creekbend Pinot Grigio? Creekbend is home to one of the few commercially grown Pinot Grigio plantings in the state. When we first planted Pinot Grigio, we often asked ourselves: can we really produce a great wine from this grape every year? Because otherwise, why bother? With near perfect weather in 2007 and 2008, Pinot Grigio was a Creekbend standout. The 2009 vintage proved beyond any doubt that we could still make a fantastic Indiana-grown Pinot Grigio even in a less-than-perfect growing year. The answer to our question – we’re glad we bothered.
Pinot Grigio ripened beautifully this year and we are quite proud of this wine. Its light body and subtle crisp flavors make this wine a great match with lighter fare such as Orange Roughy.
