Employee CultureEmployee Ownership In 2006, Oliver Winery became 100% employee owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). We are a family of dedicated employees. As employee-owners, we have a real stake in the game. The ESOP is an extra incentive to come to work every day and do the best job possible. We share in the company’s successes and failures; every grape cluster harvested, every bottle of wine sold, every smile on a customer’s face represents the ability to help our company grow. Sharing in the ownership of the company is a direct way to see our hard work and dedication pay off. We work hard and make responsible decisions to ensure Oliver Winery remains a healthy, growing business so we can create a more stable future for ourselves and our families. We thank you, our customers, for supporting Oliver Winery. We love working here! (and who wouldn't....we're making wine!)  Community Outreach As an ESOP, we feel it is important to support the community that makes Bloomington such a great home for our company. We are proud to support many wonderful organizations including WonderLab, Options, Cardinal Stage, Stonebelt, Buskirk Chumley Theater, Bloomington Hospital Foundation, Bloomington Playwrights Project, Shalom Center, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, local Rotary clubs, Local Growers Guild, Community Foundation of Bloomington/Monroe County, Monroe County CASA, Community Justice and Mediation Center, Sycamore Land Trust, Local First and the Monroe County Humane Association. We adopt families for the holiday season, volunteer our time and encourage our staff to participate in non-profit organizations for personal and professional growth. When we are not busy making and selling wine, we also love to hang out together as friends and co-workers - with a glass of Oliver wine, of course! |
