FAQ

~ VISITING THE WINERY
~

What are your hours? We have complimentary wine tasting Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 6pm from a selection of more than 30 wines.  We are closed on Election Days, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  We have extended Holiday hours a few weeks before Christmas. Please check our website in December for days and hours. Our business office hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

When are your tours?  Reservations are not required for free tours of our production facility.  Tours run on Friday and Saturday from noon to 4:30pm and Sunday from 1pm to 4:30pm (last tour is at 4:30pm).  They are every half hour and last about 25 minutes.  Tour guides take you on a walking tour of our facility and discuss our winery’s history and winemaking.  Visitors may request a tour Monday through Thursday upon arrival.  Availability depends on production activity and staff on hand to lead the tour.  Weekday tours for groups may also be available by appointment.  To arrange a weekday group tour, please contact our Special Events Manager, Amber Williams at 812-876-5800 or 800-258-2783, or via e-mail here.

Do you have seating available?  Nearly all of our seating is outside.  We have beautifully landscaped grounds with a pond and picnic tables. Tables and chairs are located on our arbor-covered patio and deck.  Some covered seating is located on the porch surrounding our tasting room.  Heat lamps provide warmth on cooler days.  Very limited seating is available in the winter months.

Can we bring pets?  Pets are allowed on our grounds on a leash but are not allowed in our tasting room due to health code regulations.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Can we bring children?  Children are allowed in the winery and on our tours.  Anyone under the age of 21 cannot drink, even with a parent’s consent.

Are you wheelchair accessible?  Yes, our facility is wheelchair accessible.

Do you have a restaurant?  We do not have a restaurant, but we do offer a variety of gourmet picnic foods for purchase including fresh-baked bread from Scholar’s Inn Bakehouse, packaged artisan meats and cheeses, crackers, dips and spreads as well as a delicious selection of sweets and non-alcoholic beverages.  For larger groups, gourmet cheese, meat and cracker trays are also available for purchase.  Click here for a complete list of cheese tray options. All food tray orders need to be arranged at least one week prior to your visit.  Visitors may also bring in their own food, but other alcohol is not permitted.  Grills are also not permitted on our grounds.

Are there any hotels located near the winery?  The closest hotels to us are about 10 miles away.  Be sure to visit the Bloomington Visitor’s Center’s hotel locator.
