We reserve a portion of the fresh juice which is preserved ice cold. This juice is then added back to the wine prior to bottling giving us a wine with wonderful balance and fresh vineyard character.

About This Wine:
Vidal Blanc is the most robust grape at our Creekbend Vineyard. The clusters are huge and beautiful - always tempting our Creekbend Vineyard crew to do a little extra quality control during harvest season. Because of the rich, fruit character of this grape and the success of our Vidal Blanc Ice Wine and Vidal Blanc Sparkling Wine, we decided to make a small batch of of reserve sweetened Vidal Blanc in 2009. This involves reserving a small portion of the original grape juice which is racked into a tank and saved. That juice is added back after the wine has fermented to dryness. This is a great way to preserve the fruity sweetness of ripe grapes. Our first vintage was a hit!
The success of the 2009 vintage and the near perfect 2010 growing season prompted us to produce another reserve sweetened Vidal Blanc. This wine is soft and clean. Flavors are of apple and honey. It is moderately sweet and will pair great with fruit or salads.
