What to Expect When You Visit: FAQs

We're so happy you're joining us for a visit!
Here are answers to our most-asked questions so that you can enjoy the best visit possible. For further questions, please call our Tasting Room at 812-876-5800.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our facility is wheelchair accessible! Please let us know how we can make your visit most enjoyable from mobility needs to food restrictions.
DO I NEED RESERVATIONS?
Nope! Reservations are only required for a handful of our experinces: reserved tastings, reserved tours, reserved picnics, and our winter igloos (available from November-March). No reservations are needed to drop by for a patio wine flight, guided bar-side tasting, hillside picnic, or summer frosé. Learn more here.
FOOD
We don't have an onsite eatery, but there are a handful of options available to you!
Book a reserved picnic. We curate a charcuterie spread just for you. Wine isn't included, but you can purchase a bottle, patio wine flight, or enjoy by the glass.
Order one of our three curated charcuterie options upon arrival. If you prefer something on the sweeter side, we have a limited dessert menu as well.
Curate your own picnic when you arrive and choose from an abundance of shoppable, à la carte charcuterie treats: gourmet meats, cheeses, crackers, and dips, as well as sweets and non-alcoholic beverages.
Bring your own picnic if you prefer, but all outside food must be enjoyed on the hillside. No outside alcohol is permitted.
PARTY SIZES
Our reserved tasting experience can accommodate parties of up to 10. Groups larger than 5 may be seated at separate, adjacent tables. Reserved picnic experiences are limited to parties of 4 at this time. For larger groups, we offer open seating on the lower (uncovered) patio and hillside picnic grounds, on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend bringing blankets or lawn chairs for the hillside area.
PETS
We love to see pets (bonus points for an adorable puppy), but only on a leash. And we can't allow them in the tasting room, covered patio or production areas due to health code regulations and to maintain adequate space for guests. This includes reserved tours and tastings, as both experiences occur in live production areas—if you book either, please leave your furry friends at home! P.S., don't forget your baggies for clean up and a bowl for thirsty pups.
PHOTOS
We welcome you to take photos at Oliver Winery. If you're working with a professional photographer, schedule your session during our normal business hours and alert a staff member upon your arrival. We recommend weekday sessions to avoid crowds. Help us keep our grounds healthy and clean. Leave helium balloons, glitter, confetti, and other intrusive props at home.
CHILDREN
It's our pleasure to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. Children are welcome on Oliver Winery grounds. In compliance with state law, some offerings are 21+.
TOO FAR TO VISIT?
Great news! Our wines are now available in 40 states and counting, so there's a good chance you can find a bit of Oliver goodness near you. Enter your address in the map to view stores in your neighborhood carrying our collections. Don't see any? You can always request our wine from your local retailer, too!
