No! There's plenty of ways to enjoy a spontaneous, casual day at the winery. Enjoy a patio wine flight on your own, a guided bar-side tasting, hillside picnic, or summertime frosé. Patio seating is first come, first served, but there's always plenty of room on the grounds to claim a picnic table or spread out a blanket. Check in with a host when you arrive and we'll help you navigate your options.

We don't have a restaurant on-site, but we've got you covered when it comes to snacking! On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, we offer a small selection of charcuterie boards and desserts to enjoy during your visit. We also carry a wonderful assortment of meats and cheeses in our Tasting Room — choose from à la carte charcuterie options to build your own spread, or order one of our in-house charcuterie boards upon arrival.

Prefer to pack your own picnic? That works too! Outside food is welcome on our *picnic grounds only. *Please note that alcoholic beverages other than Oliver wines are not permitted anywhere on our property.

We don't have traditional indoor seating — that space is reserved for guests enjoying our Reserved Tasting Experiences. But our three-season pergola keeps things comfortable year-round with heaters for chilly Indiana winters (just be sure to dress for the weather!). Plus, our gardens and hillside picnic area are perfect for soaking up the outdoors.

Yes, outside food is welcome in our hillside picnic area and lower patio. Please note that per Indiana state law, outside alcohol is not permitted on our premises, and we ask that guests avoid bringing grills or open flames for everyone's safety.

Welcome! Whether you've just moved here or you're visiting for the first time, the Bloomington Visitor's Center is a great resource for all things local— from lodging and restaurant suggestions to seasonal events and things to do around town. It's a perfect starting point for exploring everything Bloomington has to offer, including your visit to Oliver Winery.

We're so glad you're here to enjoy a glass with us! Wine service is available to guests 21 and older with a valid ID. In keeping with Indiana state law, we'll kindly ask for ID if you appear to be under 40 — so don't be shy if our tasting room staff asks, it happens to the best of us!

If you're using a temporary or interim ID, please bring along another form of government-issued identification as well. *We do not accept paper interim ID's for wine service. *

To help everyone enjoy their visit responsibly, we limit wine consumption to one bottle per person per day (or the equivalent). We care about our guests, so we also reserve the right to gently decline service if it looks like someone's had a bit too much. As always — please drink responsibly, and thank you for helping us keep Oliver Winery a safe, welcoming place for everyone.

It's our pleasure to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. Children are welcome on Oliver Winery grounds. In compliance with state law, some offerings are 21+.

We love to see pets here (bonus points if it's an adorable puppy!) — but they must be on a leash at all times. Due to health code regulations and to maintain comfortable space for all our guests, pets aren't permitted in production areas. This also includes our Reserved Tours and Tastings, since both experiences take place in live production areas — so if you've booked one of these, please leave your furry friend at home this time!

If you're bringing your pup along for a stroll through the gardens or hillside, don't forget your baggies for cleanup and a bowl for thirsty pups. We appreciate you helping us keep the grounds clean and comfortable for everyone.

Yes! Our Reserved Tasting Experience accommodates up to 10 guests per booking. If you're planning a larger celebration, just email events@oliverwinery.com and our team will be happy to help you find the right fit.

Our Picnic Experience is limited to 4 guests at this time, and we're currently unable to accommodate larger parties for this option. Please note that booking multiple reservations to get around this limit may mean your group isn't seated together, so we appreciate your understanding as we work to make sure every guest has a great experience.

We welcome you to take photos at Oliver Winery — our gardens and hillside make for a beautiful backdrop! If you're working with a professional photographer, please schedule your session during our normal business hours, as our grounds close at the same time as our main tasting room for safety. We recommend weekday sessions to help you avoid crowds and get the most out of your visit.

Upon arrival, please check in with a staff member to let them know you'll be shooting photos. To respect the privacy of our other guests and the integrity of our winemaking spaces, we ask that you avoid photographing other patrons or our production areas.

And to help us keep our grounds healthy and clean for everyone to enjoy, we ask that you leave helium balloons, glitter, confetti, and other intrusive props at home.
