Creekbend Vineyard

Our vineyard in the Indiana Uplands.

You could say the unexpected has become our speciality.

No one expects sweeping vine rows to peek out from rural farms and wooded hills of Southern Indiana — but just one glance, and our Creekbend Vineyard will take your breath away.

Creekbend Vineyard is Oliver's commitment to the production of great wine from Indiana-grown grapes. The hilltop location and well-drained limestone soil promote optimal vine health, and since the vineyard was re-born in 1994, our estate-bottled wines have gained a national reputation for quality.

We're committed to making great wine.

Creekbend Vineyard, our Monroe County site, is ideally suited for growing. Long, warm summers allow us to ripen a broad range of wine grapes here in the Indiana Uplands, from Vignoles to Catawba and Chambourcin.

Cultivating hybrid varieties

Many wineries make excellent Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. We do, too. And using the best practices known, we cultivate lesser-known (but equally sophisticated) grapes such as Chambourcin. Our goal: set the standard by which these varietal wines are judged.

Here is a sampling of wines made from these unique grape varieties:
