BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (July 19, 2021) — Indiana-based Oliver Winery & Vineyards has named industry veteran John Esposito to its board of directors. Esposito also serves on the boards of WhistlePig and Zing Zang, and he was formerly president of Bacardi USA, Moët Hennessy USA, and Stoli Group USA. Later, he led High West Distillery, which Constellation acquired for $160 million in 2016.

“My role on the board is really to support the team at Oliver as they continue to build their great wine brands on a national scale,” said Esposito. “I’m looking forward to helping Oliver grow its umbrella brand and brand equity, much like I’ve done with emerging brands in the past.”

Esposito joins NexPhase Capital, LP (“NexPhase”) principals Doug Corbett, Jamie Kaufman, and Alan Rogers, as well as CEO Julie Adams and founding family member Bill Oliver on Oliver’s board of directors. Oliver Winery, along with Esposito and NexPhase, are teaming up to bring new thoughts and perspectives to set the winery up for continued success.
